Kick-off of Youth Month 2025: “Vietnamese Youth – Proud and Confident in Following the Party”
On March 1, 2025, in Long An Province, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee held the Kick-off Ceremony for Youth Month 2025.
Attending the Kick-off Ceremony were:

Mr. Lê Thành Long, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister;

Mr. Nguyễn Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization;
-
Mr. Bùi Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union;
-
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Út, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Long An People’s Committee;
-
Mr. Nguyễn Tường Lâm, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Federation;
…along with leaders from central ministries and departments, officials of the Central Youth Union and Vietnam Youth Federation, leaders of Long An Province, and a large number of local youth union members and young people.
With the theme “Vietnamese Youth: Proudly and Confidently Following the Party”, Youth Month 2025 introduces many new initiatives. The key focus is the launch of the “Digital Literacy for All” movement, in line with the directive from General Secretary Tô Lâm. This initiative aims to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, which emphasizes breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
Other major highlights include:

A nationwide campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing in 2025, encouraging collective efforts to improve living conditions across the country.

Volunteer programs supporting the completion of 3,000 km of expressways across 23 provinces and cities where national highway projects are underway.
There will be three nationwide peak activity days, to be simultaneously launched by grassroots Youth Union units across the country:

Youth Month 2025 promises to be vibrant and meaningful with a series of national-level activities, spreading the spirit of pioneering, creativity, and dedication among young people:

“March to the Border” Program: Aiming to support people and soldiers in border and island areas, affirming the youth’s commitment to national sovereignty and solidarity.

Dialogue between the Prime Minister and Youth, themed “Vietnamese Youth: Pioneering and Creative in Promoting Green and Sustainable Economic Development”, provides a platform for open discussion and policy advocacy for young people.

“President Ho Chi Minh and Children – Children and President Ho Chi Minh” Contest: Inspiring gratitude and the emulation of Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, ethics, and lifestyle among the young generation.

2025 Stamp Collection and Knowledge Contest, themed “50 Years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification through Postage Stamps”, contributes to patriotic education and historical awareness.

Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces 2024 Awards Ceremony: Honoring exemplary young individuals in various fields as role models for their peers.

“Youth Voices – Youth Union’s Action” Forum: A platform for discussing youth roles and contributions in national development.

Celebration of the 94th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Founding and the Ly Tu Trong Award 2025: Recognizing and motivating outstanding youth union officials across the country.
Following the launch ceremony, the Central Youth Union organized five working delegations to carry out a series of response activities, including:

Visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers;

Donating “Bookshelf for Children” projects to local schools;

Inaugurating and handing over Youth Sports Space projects;

Conducting field visits to the model of “Cashless Civil Market”;

Commencing construction of “Friendship Houses” for disadvantaged youth;

Planting trees to promote environmental protection;

Visiting and presenting gifts to young workers in difficult circumstances at local boarding houses.
