This afternoon (October 7), within the framework of the 1st National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation for Persons with Disabilities (2024–2029), Mr. Đỗ Văn Chiến – Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front – warmly welcomed 48 young delegates, representing 133 outstanding youths with disabilities nationwide.
These delegates are attending the historic inaugural Congress and were also honored under the 2024 “Radiant Vietnamese Willpower” program.
At the meeting, the outstanding young delegates with disabilities shared their personal stories—journeys of resilience and determination to overcome adversity and affirm their place in society. They also voiced heartfelt proposals and aspirations to Mr. Đỗ Văn Chiến, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, calling for greater attention from all levels of leadership toward vulnerable and disadvantaged communities, especially persons with disabilities. They emphasized the need for more inclusive environments that foster opportunities for growth and development.
