Launch of the Program: “Joining Hands to Support Persons with Disabilities and Orphans”
In the joyful and spirited atmosphere celebrating the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Federation (2024–2029), the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans, VTC Corporation, and the National Humanitarian Portal 1400, officially launched the program “Joining Hands to Support Persons with Disabilities and Orphans” today, December 13, 2024, in Hanoi.
The initiative introduces a convenient and accessible way for the public to contribute — through scanning the VietQR code on the 1400 platform — aiming to create better opportunities for people with disabilities and orphans facing challenging circumstances.

Attending the program launch and the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hồi, Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Lâm Văn Đoan, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs; along with representatives from various ministries and central agencies.
Representing the organizing committee were Mr. Nguyễn Trọng Đàm, Former Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and Chairman of the Vietnam Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans; Ms. Đỗ Thị Hòa, Director of the National Humanitarian Portal 1400; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Lan Anh, Director of the Institute for Community Development Studies; and Mr. Phạm Văn Thành, President of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association. Also present were leaders from the Association’s local chapters nationwide and numerous media agencies covering the event.
Since its official establishment on October 7, 2024, the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association has actively launched meaningful initiatives, leveraging digital platforms for vocational training, career orientation, and fundraising to support youth with disabilities across the country.

The program “Joining Hands to Support People with Disabilities and Orphans” was launched with the following objectives:

Provide vocational training and seed capital for people with disabilities facing difficult circumstances.
-

The Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association calls upon individuals, organizations, and businesses nationwide to take action—so that “No one is left behind.”
