Microsoft Empowers Vietnamese Youth with Disabilities through the “Digital Literacy for All” Program

On the afternoon of March 12, at Microsoft Office – Capital Place Building (Ba Dinh, Hanoi), the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association, in collaboration with Microsoft Vietnam, officially launched the “Digital Literacy for All” initiative for Vietnamese youth with disabilities.

The event was attended by leaders of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Federation, Mr. Pham Van Thanh – President of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Tram – General Director of Microsoft Vietnam, as well as representatives of the youth with disabilities community.

The “Digital Literacy for All” initiative is supported by Microsoft and powered by its AI tool, Copilot. The program aims to enhance digital awareness and skills, helping young people with disabilities optimize their work and daily lives through accessible technology.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Quynh Tram – General Director of Microsoft Vietnam – shared:

“More than 1 billion people around the world are living with disabilities, and at some point in our lives, most of us may experience a form of temporary or permanent disability. The real-life impact of this is significant. Employment and education rates among people with disabilities remain very low, and social inclusion for this community has seen little progress over the past 30 years.

However, we now have the power to bridge that gap through the advancement of technology—especially artificial intelligence—which helps shorten distances in communication, interaction, and information exchange.”

Ms. Nguyễn Quỳnh Trâm, General Director of Microsoft Vietnam, Shares Insights at the Program

“At Microsoft, our mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more by making technology accessible, safe, and user-friendly. We believe AI-powered tools like Microsoft Copilot can unlock new levels of accessibility for people with disabilities by helping them build skills, access education, and connect with job opportunities—ultimately contributing meaningfully to socio-economic development.”

As part of the “Digital Literacy for All” program for youth with disabilities, Microsoft Vietnam will accompany the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association in implementing a series of impactful activities:
