LAUNCHING THE “SUPPORTING THE JOURNEY TO SCHOOL 2025” PROGRAM
Towards an Inclusive Learning Future for 1,200 Children with Disabilities in Remote Areas
On the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Vietnam Disability Day (April 18, 1998 – April 18, 2025), on the afternoon of April 18 in Hanoi, in a solemn and warm atmosphere, the “Supporting the Journey to School 2025” program was officially launched.
The program aims to turn the dream of attending school into reality for 1,200 children with disabilities from disadvantaged backgrounds in 12 remote and border provinces — areas where their journey to school is still fraught with many challenges. This is not only a deeply humanistic event but also a symbol of connection, sharing, and unlimited companionship.
Many esteemed leaders and organizations attended to support the program:
- Dr. BSCK II Nguyen Tri Thuc, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health
- Dr. Tran Dang Khoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Maternal and Child Health, Ministry of Health
- Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Que, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council, University of Water Resources
- Mrs. Duong Thi Bich Diệp, Chairwoman of the Council of the Vietnam Fund for Children with Disabilities
- Mr. Ngo Ba Hoang Hai, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

- Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association

- Representatives from the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam, along with distinguished delegates, organizational leaders, families, and youth with disabilities.
Digital Transformation for a Barrier-Free Future
A notable highlight of the program was the signing of a partnership agreement between the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association and the Vietnam Fund for Children with Disabilities. This agreement aims to create a safe and friendly digital environment for vulnerable groups, especially children and youth with disabilities.
Through the combination of technology, education, and social responsibility, the program seeks to enhance self-protection skills, reduce the risk of online harm, and expand access to knowledge and personal development for the disability community.
“Every dream of attending school that is nurtured today will lay the foundation for an inclusive, self-sufficient, and hopeful future. No one is left behind — this is not just a slogan, but a shared commitment of all of us to act together.” – Mr. Pham Van Thanh, President of the Vietnam Youth with Disabilities Association
Acting Together – Creating Miracles Together
“Supporting the Journey to School 2025” is not simply a charitable program — it is a long-term journey that strengthens the faith of thousands of children with disabilities who are tirelessly overcoming their fate. Each act of companionship is a piece of compassion, a step toward an inclusive Vietnam — with no barriers and unlimited opportunities.
🌱 We sincerely thank all the delegates, organizations, individuals, sponsors, experts, and inspiring individuals who have joined hands to create a fairer and more sustainable learning future for children with disabilities in Vietnam.
